Is there anything better......

than movie and popcorn night??

It was hard to get Big J to stop eating the popcorn long enough to take a picture!  And yes, she pretty much ate that big bowl of popcorn herself, only a little help from mom and dad!

Guess where I went last night?

Kindergarten parent meeting, ahhhhhhhhhh.  Do I have to let her go?  Well maybe she won't go, today I showed her the uniform she would be wearing, the navy plaid jumper, and she immediately said "I'm not wearing THAT!"  She repeated this with her arms crossed and said, it's not pink, I'm not wearing it........so, maybe I will get to keep her home another year!  :-)

Nap time.......

Today, Little J slept in so we ran some errands this morning and had a late lunch and so she didn't go in for her nap until about 2, usually it is about 12:30.  She chats and talks to "mouse" usually standing up so about 2:30 I went in and told her time to nap and laid her down (again).  Well, you miss her window of opportunity and this is what you get (when I finally relented just short of 4 that she wasn't going to go to sleep):

Hi mom, just keeping myself entertained.......
just opened this drawer........
pulled off the changing pad, then all the "hair" stuff you have for me, isn't that a little excess mom?

yeah, mouse was getting bored too......
you aren't mad are you??
you think it is funny, right mom??
ok, I did it (and I'll do it again given the chance.....)

On to dinner time, I have to say I love using these serving trays for toddlers!  Used them for Big J when she was this age and they work great!  Doesn't she look like such a big girl up at the table?......
try to take our picture now mom.......
Two ham bones!!

I have some great video, problem is I can't seem to get it off my camera!  Here's hoping.......

Awwww

So my ever so sweet 4.5 year old says to me the other day while we are driving, "Mom, when I grow up, I want to be just like you".  Awww, but sweetie, you can do so much better, really, a middle-aged, overweight, pre-menopausal, gray haired (oh I mean red head), non-make-up wearing lady on my days off, can't remember a thing to save my life, sometimes not very patient mom?  I think I sort of questioned her, I mean the last time she said this, she wanted to be a doctor, but nope, again, "Mom, I want to be just like you, but I will remember things" (and I didn't mention the memory thing during this conversation, she just knows and tells me all the time!).  Ah ha, she IS so smart!  Oh thank you so much sweetheart!

Missing.....

One turtle:

Big J got this cool turtle for Christmas that lights up stars on the ceiling in her choice of blue, green or orange.  She LOVES the thing!  It has been on EVERY night since she got it and even has gone on a few overnight trips she has had.  The other night, it came up missing.....  Usually, we are always looking for this at bed time:
Taggie!  She has had this since birth and around 1 she could not be separated from it!  Whoa, and once we left it at Grandma's and she had to mail it to us, it was a rough few nights.  She stills love taggie, who actually at this moment is lost, but it is not such a big deal nowadays.

So, when turtle came up missing, we checked around the house.  I looked under her bed from both sides.  It didn't look good and immediately she said we should pray to God to help us.  Way to go girl!!  This was always my suggestion when taggie came up missing and oh how God loves to answer little children.  We almost always found taggie within 24 hours.  I was a little embarrassed that she thought of this before me but I am so proud that she did.  So she said, "God, please help us find turtle, amen".  Well folks, as SOON as she was done I moved my foot (I was at the end of her bed) and it hit something.  I lifted up the bed skirt and guess what my foot hit??  Not.even.kidding!  Turtle!  And remember, I looked under her bed from both sides (granted her light was dimmed but still......).  I said to her, "Wow, was that amazingly fast that God answered or what?!"  She said, "that was amazingly fast"!  Of course we had to say our Thank you God.

That's entertainment folks...

By the time I got the camera, that was about the third time they had done their performance so Little J was pretty much done, however, she is always up for singing Hallelujah!

Not sure who is more entertaining though, what do you think?  Tim or the girls?
